Rich in history and very rustic, Au Vieux Moulin à Scie Motel & Restaurant in Saint-Michel-des-Saints promises you a time travelling experience, transporting you back in the days when the wood logging industry was at its peak in the Haute Matawinie area.

Located in the heart of the village, the Vieux Moulin à Scie is set up on the shore of the Matawin River, which was used by the loggers to transport the wood logs back to the mill.

In a warm atmosphere filled with vintage souvenirs, Chantal Bélanger & Sébastien Dubé are inviting you to come and enjoy a delicious meal in their dining room where they serve typical regional cuisine.

The Motel presents quality installations and offers you up to 9 spacious and comfortable rooms including air conditioning, color TV, telephone, refridgerator, hair dryer and secure parking for ATVs and snowmbiles. 6 of these rooms are equiped with 2 double beds (the remaining 3 have 1 double bed).

A condo section adjacent to the motel & restaurant is also availlable, comprising of 4 units, for greater comfort and larger space.

These units can accomodate up to 10 people and are all equiped with a kitchenette, 3 separate bedrooms, living room, complete bathroom with both a bath and a shower, color TV, telephone, refridgerator, hair dryer, alarm clock and air conditioning.

You are invited to come and explore our restaurant and rustic dining room where meals are served “à la carte” or in a “table d’hôte” fashion. Alone or in a group, you will appreciate its warm and relax ambiance. A place where links are created and friendships are formed in a happy and friendly atmosphere.
